page three - Killed - David Welty, jr., a very worthy young man, aged about 30 years, residing in Union township, was fatally injured at a shed raising on his father's farm on Saturday last, by a skid slipping and recipitating a log upon him, injuring him so seriously that he died from the effects next day. The bereaved friends have the sympathy of the community in their loss. / Died - In Ferguson township, on Wednesday morning, October 19th, 1870, John Hockenberry, aged about 83 years.
