page three - Dead - Henry Shimmel, residing near Wallaceton, was found dead in his bed on the morning of the 13th. Coroner Moore was telegraphed, and, accompanied by Dr. Boyer, he proceeded to the residence of the dead, and at once summoned a jury and held an Inquest. No marks of violence were found on his person, and the jury state in their finding that "he came to his death by the visitation of God." He was in the 85th year of his age. / A Human Devil - It seems that the death of the Boyer family in Perry county, a few weeks ago, a notice of which we published last week, was caused by an ungodly son. The inquest in the case on the 3d inst., found "that John P. Boyer, Jane Ann Boyer, Elizabeth Boyer and John Boyer, came to their death by having chloroform or some other poisonous substance administered, and then the house set on fire to consume the bodies, by some person or persons to the jury unknown." A surviving son has been arrested for this fiendish act, and is now in prison, and the testimony against him is almost positive... / Married - On the 15th of December, 1870, by Wm. L. Shaw, Esq., Mr. David Coulter and Miss Julian Steevere, both of Girard township. - On December 10, 1870, by G.C.Kirk, Esq., Mr. J.W.S. Richard and Miss Julia A.M.Crick, both of Union township / Died - In Knox township, on the 2d of September, 1870, Margaret, wife of James M. Bloom, aged /
