page two - Death of Professor Stoever - Professor Martin Luthr Stoever, L.L.D., of the Pennsylvania College at Gettysburg, died suddenly in Philadelpia, on Friday last, of nervous prostration and congestion of the brain, from long continued labor. The Philadelphia "Ledger" of Saturday last says... Dr. Stoever was born at Germantown, in this city, February 17, 1820; and in that place, we believe, his remains are to find their last resting place. / Administrator's Notice - Estate of John Luzier, Sr. late of Bradford township / Administrator's Notice - Estate of Robert H. Rany, late of Burnside township / Administrator's Notice - Estate of Solomon Pyles, late of Pike township

page three - Goshen Sunday School - At the close of the Goshen M. E. Sunday School, July 31st, 1870, the following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted: "Whereas, It has pleased our Heavenly Father in the exercise of His wise providence to remove from our midst our earnest sister and co-laborer Mary B. Tate, who died on Friday evening, July 22, 1870, in the full assurance of a blissful immortality ..." / Married - On July 28th, 1870, by James P. Farwell, Esq., Mr. William H. Snyder to Miss Rebecca J. Shaffer, both of Ferguson township. - On July 28th, 1870, by William L. Shaw, Esq., Mr. W. A. Wallce to Miss Linda Bumgardner, both of Bradford township. - On the same day, by the same, Mr. john T. Bumgardner to Miss Charilla Shunkwiler, both of Goshen township. / Died. In Clearfield, on July 27th, 1870, Wilmer E., son of James and Jane Schofield, aged 1 years, 9 months and 16 days.
